I had the unfortunate displeasure of visiting Durkin Amusements recently, and I can't emphasize enough how terrible the service was. My little brother and I eagerly queued up for one of the rides, looking forward to a fun and thrilling experience. Little did we know that our excitement would quickly turn into disappointment and frustration.
The main reason for our dissatisfaction was the fact that despite waiting for an entire hour, my little brother was denied access to the ride. This incident alone is enough to earn this review the lowest possible rating. I would expect any amusement park to prioritize the safety and satisfaction of their visitors, but Durkin Amusements failed in both regards.
The staff at Durkin Amusements displayed a shocking lack of empathy and understanding. When my little brother, who had been patiently waiting in line with other excited children, was turned away at the last moment, the employee responsible offered no explanation or apology. Instead, they simply shrugged and moved on to the next rider. It was a heart-wrenching experience to witness the tears in my brother's eyes as he was left standing there, unable to enjoy the ride like the other children.
What's even more disheartening is that we were not the only ones who experienced such mistreatment. While waiting, I witnessed multiple families having similar issues with the staff's indifference and incompetence.
In addition to the heartbreaking experience with my little brother, the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the park left much to be desired. It's evident that Durkin Amusements is more interested in making a quick buck than in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for their patrons.
I strongly advise against visiting Durkin Amusements. This experience was beyond disappointing and left a sour taste in my mouth. We expected a day of fun and excitement, but what we received was a lesson in how not to run an amusement park. Our one-hour wait was a complete waste of time and money, and I cannot emphasize enough how much of a disappointment this place turned out to be."
